Project description: 

There are serious arguments between those who believe social media can create movements and impacts on the offline world and those who say they only facilitate communication. For example, can the social graph (personal relations of internet users) that advertisers and others make use of also be employed to assist e.g. charitable causes? If you were going to start a company to help social organizations organize, advertise, fund-raise etc. on the web, what would be the key needs both in technical and social terms? And what research could help you to attack them?

Required Skills/Disciplines: Analytic skills, all disciplines. Remark: Project will be adapted to the participants’ qualifications/disciplines.
